DBS Status Check

The last Police Record Check obtained for Michael was an ‘Enhanced DBS Certificate’ applied for in the United Kingdom and issued on the 18th of November 2013 by the ‘Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)’. It shows that the applicant has no convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings held on the Police National Computer (PNC) and is not barred from any field of employment. This certificate is still current/valid and an online status check can be carried out by prospective employers and organisations to see if any relevant information has been identified since the Certificate was issued. Please see the ‘Perform a Status Check’ section below.

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), formerly known as the ‘Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)’ is a non-departmental public body of the Home Office of the United Kingdom. It enables organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially that involve children or vulnerable adults, and provides wider access to criminal record information through its disclosure service for England and Wales. It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).

Perform a Status check
A Status check allows organisations to see if any relevant information has been identified about the individual since their Certificate was last issued. This reduces the need to ask individuals to apply for multiple Certificates if they move from one job to another in the same workforce or when a recheck is required.

To perform a quick online status check you will need to obtain the certificate number by sending a request via the ‘Contact‘ page. Once you have obtained it, click on the button below.
